MEDINA, Ohio – As they do at the beginning of every school year, the Medina Board of Education reviewed data from the district’s food service program.
Director of Business Affairs Ryan O’Cull presented the board with numbers from the 2024-25 school year. He said the food service program is made up of 47 staff members including cafeteria managers, cashiers, cooks, servers, secretaries and supervisors.
“These positions range from 2.5 hours a day to a full eight-hour day,” he said.
O’Cull said the cost of annual wages and benefits for the food service department is $1.5 million but added that Medina’s food services is a completely self-supporting department.
