A 27-year-old Red Deerian was killed in a collision on Friday, Aug. 22.

Red Deer RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a pickup truck and motorcycle near the intersection of 77 Street and Keast Way just before 10 p.m.

The Red Deer resident driving the motorcycle died at the scene. A 30-year-old female passenger, a resident of Springbrook, suffered serious injuries and was transported to an Edmonton hospital via STARS Air Ambulance. The driver of the pick truck suffered minor injuries.

The RCMP Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation continues.
