Hip-hop dancers from across the country faced off against each other at the Go with the Flow Street Dance Festival in Red Deer.
About 100 dancers were expected to compete in the first-ever edition of the event, hosted by Pound It Hip Hop Studio at Canada 150 Square in the city's Capstone neighbourhood on Saturday, Aug. 23. In addition to local dancers, competitors came from all over Canada, including Winnipeg, Man., Montreal, Que., Vancouver, B.C., and Saskatoon, Sask.
"It's really exciting that we're able to do this in our city," said Rico Martinez, founder of Pound It Hip Hop Studio.
