OHIO, USA — School is back in session for many students around Ohio. Ahead of the school year, released its list of the best high schools around the country and state.

The list measures each school's college readiness, state assessment proficiency and performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.

Of the more than 900 high schools on the statewide ranking list, 11 central Ohio schools were ranked in the top 50. More than 20,000 schools were ranked nationally.

Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati ranked #1 in Ohio and #91 nationally.

Here's where some central Ohio high schools ranked:
