The alleged incident, involving a 33-year-old woman, took place in New York City on Saturday, Aug. 23

The model was previously arrested in September 2021 for allegedly assaulting a 24-year-old woman

Mingus Reedus , the son of Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen , is facing legal trouble for alleged assault.

The model, 25, was arrested in New York City near 16th Street and 8th Avenue at approximately 8:40 a.m. local time on Saturday, Aug. 23, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to PEOPLE.

He has since been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault, according to the NYPD.
