CLEVELAND — Joe Flacco made his only appearance of the preseason for the Browns in their final exhibition game against the Los Angeles Rams .

Flacco was named the Browns' starter for the regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals earlier in the week. The game against the Rams was a chance for he and the rest of the Browns starters to get a little work in before it all starts for real.

For both Flacco and the starting offense, that work accounted for three offensive possessions, the last of those bleeding into the second quarter. He would be replaced by rookie Dillon Gabriel.
