Sunderland fans are the most likely in the Premier League to have encountered an alien , a poll found. ‌

Researchers found eight per cent of Mackems fans reckon they have seen a UFO or a little green man. Fans of the newly promoted club are seven times more likely than Brighton fans to have had an alien encounter. ‌

Neighbouring Newcastle fans are the second most likely to have have had one with seven per cent claiming an alien sighting. ‌
