During the broadcast of the Detroit Lions’ preseason finale against the Houston Texans, the Lions announced that they will be inducting Robert Porcher into their “Pride of the Lions,” their ring of honor to celebrate the best players in franchise history.

A first-round pick in 1992, Porcher spent the entirety of his 12-year career with the Lions. His accolades including being named to the Pro Bowl three times (1997, 1999, and 2021) and posting five seasons with 10 or more sacks. In total, Porcher finished his career with 95.5 total sacks, 602 tackles, 18 forced fumbles and an interception.

Porcher was an integral piece to the 1990s era Lions, who made the playoffs five times during Porcher’s career.
