If there has ever been a week when I had no idea why the topic should be written about, this is the week. I had to do research before writing this column. For me, that’s unheard of. Research makes it feel like work. But this week it was necessary.
It’s football time in Cherokee. From youth to high school, to college, hundreds of young people all over this county are suiting up to play a game I love. Every year about this time, I watch football movies in preparation for the new season.
