BATTLE CREEK — Lakeview's Jay Hamric has been waiting his turn to be No. 1. Not just for the Spartan tennis team, but No. 1 in the city.
Now that he has been given his chance, he's making the most of it.
Hamric, Lakeview's No. 1 singles player for the first time this year, won the top flight to highlight the Spartans' day at the All-City Tournament.
Lakeview won the annual All-City Boys Tennis Tournament for the 10th straight year in high school action at Lakeview High School on Saturday, Aug. 23.
