An elderly woman died before her hopes to become a centenarian could come true — due to a nursing home incident involving a hot beverage .

Margaret Eluned Roberts was burned by a cup of tea that spilled onto her while she was at the facility in Wales, England, on Sept. 22, 2024. She then died a little over a month later on Oct. 28, according to an investigation done by Kate Robertson, the senior coroner for northwest Wales.
