MAPLE BLUFF - Protesters gathered outside the governor's mansion to call on Gov. Tony Evers to do more to fulfill his campaign promises of decreasing the prison population.
The group of more than 50 people gathered on Aug. 23, carrying signs and listening to a lineup of advocates speak about their experiences with the Wisconsin correctional system and call on Evers during the final months of his term as governor to make good on the promises he made.
The prison reform advocacy group WISDOM hosted the event.
