Taylor Elgersma has strong finish to preseason

Taylor Elgersma ’s upside, steady improvement throughout camp and performance in the preseason finale has given him a shot at beating out Sean Clifford for the No. 3 quarterback job on the Packers ’ practice squad.

Elgersma, the Canadian college quarterback signed as an undrafted rookie in the offseason, capped training camp by putting up 10 points in his first four series, and then making a couple of improvised flip passes to help keep alive his final possession and burn clock in the fourth quarter as the Packers’ protected a 13-point lead.

Elgersma finished the game with a 121.4
