HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Tigers are coming off two seasons over .500 with two straight playoff appearances.
They lost their starting quarterback, Tucker Synek, as well as their leading rusher and two top receivers.
Despite that, they’re confident in the players stepping into new roles.
“You hope each group that comes through kind of gets a taste of it, gets to play a little as sophomores, and then they’re ready to go as junior,” said Head Coach Charlie Shoemaker. “It’s these guys’ turn and they know that.”
Despite some players stepping into bigger roles, the Tigers have their sights set on another playoff run.
“We’re going to be undersized, we’re going to be underrated,” said senior wide receiver and safety Brody Dreher. “We just have to come out here and compete.”
