MAYFIELD, Ky. (KFVS) - A shooting near a high school football game in western Kentucky Friday night is under investigation.

The Graves County/Mayfield game did not finish ; it was suspended after gunshots were heard near the stadium in the 4th quarter, with Mayfield leading Graves County 40-7.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, the shooting happened in a parking area adjacent to the War Memorial football stadium.

One adult victim was initially taken to an area hospital but was later flown to an out-of-state medical center for treatment.
