COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RSCD) announced two arrests of two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting on Friday afternoon.

Deputies say 19-year-old Tyron Shelley and 20-year-old Ta’John Goodwin were arrested after one person was killed at The Roost apartment complex.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said deputies responded just after 12:30 p.m. to the apartment complex after reports of a person being hit by gunfire.

After arriving, deputies located an unresponsive adult victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Richland County investigators said they were able to identify a gold Chevy Tahoe as the suspect vehicle and locate both the vehicle and Tyron Shelley at his home
