The Steelers returned to practice at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex Saturday morning after their 19-10 Thursday preseason win over the Panthers, and the big question remained around first-round rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon’s knee.

Saturday, Tomlin categorized Harmon’s injury status as “week-to-week” but said he didn’t know about the potential decision of placing him on injured reserve to start the season.

Should Harmon be placed on injured reserve after Tuesday — the final day for the Steelers’ 53-man roster cutdown — he would need to miss a minimum of four weeks before his 21-day window to return to the roster and be active for games.
