A 49-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested this week for allegedly operating an organized retail theft ring that netted over $100,000 in stolen merchandise, which he then resold at discounted prices at a local swap meet, according to Metro Police

Javier Becerril-Solis was taken into custody on Thursday following a three-month investigation by the Organized Retail Crimes Unit, police said.

Detectives discovered that Becerril-Solis had been purchasing stolen items from shoplifters who targeted area retail stores, then turning around and selling the merchandise to unsuspecting customers at below-market prices.
