The National Hurricane Center will begin issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Fernand at 5 PM. We’ll have the latest information on wind speed and the system’s first track.
Much of the forecast guidance indicate that the system will remain over the open waters of the Atlantic, staying away from Eastern NC.
The second disturbance has a 20% chance of development as it heads for the Antilles Islands. This one looks to develop slowly. The best chance may not come until next week as it moves into the Caribbean. Anything that forms there would need to be watched, especially if it makes it into the Gulf.
