The sixth tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season formed on Saturday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Tropical Storm Fernand formed Saturday just before 5 p.m. The storm is located several hundred miles south-southeast of Bermuda, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, NHC says. Latest Forecast

Fernand is moving northward at about 15 mph.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and it is expected to be near hurricane strength on Monday.
Weakening is expected to begin on Tuesday.
The system poses no threat to Florida.
