ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis police made an arrest Saturday in the 2008 killing of an off-duty St. Louis Community College officer.
St. Louis City prosecutors charged 46-year-old Brandon M. Levy with first-degree murder. He is being held at the St. Louis City Justice Center without bond.
Levy is accused of shooting and killing Demond Taylor on June 20, 2008. Taylor, who was 34 when he was killed, was an off-duty St. Louis Community College officer.
In 2008, police said Taylor was found shot inside a car while waiting at a red light in the 5100 block of Page Boulevard.
According to a police affidavit, investigators spoke with two witnesses in 2018, who identified him as one of the people who shot into Taylor’s car. Witnesses told police Taylor had been mistaken for a rival
