NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - It didn't take long for Erin to dissipate and now we have ourselves a new storm named Tropical Storm Fernand in the Atlantic Ocean.

It officially became tropical storm status Saturday afternoon as it travels northward at 15-mph with maximum sustained winds of 40-mph.

Its tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105-miles from the center.

Tropical Storm Fernand is currently about 400-miles south-southeast of Bermuda as its expected to pick-up speed and gain strength over the next couple of days as it starts traveling in a more northeastward motion.

The National Hurricane Center forecasts that this storm "could see hurricane strength on Monday as it moves well east of Bermuda and across the open waters of the subtropical North Atlantic, but weakening is expect
