“Emily in Paris” assistant director Diego Borella has died after collapsing on the set of the hit series.

According to La Repubblica , the Netflix show was shooting at the Hotel Danieli in Venice, Italy, when the 47-year-old collapsed in view of the crew after reportedly suffering a heart attack.

Per the outlet, medics arrived on the scene Thursday evening but were unable to revive him.

According to the Independent , the Venice health service said in a statement, “Our ambulance arrived at 6:42 p.m. Medics made attempts to resuscitate him. But in the end all efforts proved fruitless. At around 7:30 p.m., he was pronounced deceased.”
