A man has tragically lost his life at a bank holiday family funfair following severe head injuries sustained in an incident involving a fairground attraction. Emergency services, including police, paramedics and the air ambulance, rushed to Spanish City Summer Funfair in Whitley Bay on Saturday afternoon. ‌

An off-duty medical professional also provided assistance at the scene. Tragically, despite the valiant efforts of medical personnel , a fairground employee in his 20s has passed away,
