CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Another Cleveland officer is accused of driving impaired after he allegedly caused a crash with a sheriff’s vehicle.
According to the Jennifer Ciaccia, the press secretary for Cuyahoga County, a Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department (CCSD) sergeant was working a part-time construction job at the corner of Lakewood Heights Boulevard and Alger Road around 1 a.m.
The sergeant was in a CCSD patrol car, according to Ciaccia.
The sergeant’s vehicle was blocking traffic for the entrance ramp of Warren Road and I-90 westbound with his front, back, and overhead lights all activated.
Brian Brunner, an officer with the Cleveland Police Department, drove a truck through the blocked intersection and hit the patrol car nearly head-on, according to Ciaccia.
