ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) -- A shooting occurred Saturday in Anderson, resulting in one person being airlifted to a hospital.

The Anderson Police Department responded to the incident that took place at the 200 block of Arlington Avenue. A victim was located with at least one gunshot wound at the scene.

Police reported that the individual was taken by Life Flight to Greenville for their injuries.

Their condition remains unknown at this time.

Officers said a suspect has been taken into custody for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators are at the scene to gather evidence to determine the motive behind the case.

The shooting remains under investigation by the APD.
