“We’re not running out of time,” Boone said about the Yankees’ situation. He also warned that things must improve, stating, “but if we don’t do better, then it’s going to fizzle out and we’re not going to get where we want to be,” but he did not point to any specific changes within the team.

The Yankees are now a bit behind the Red Sox, but as Boone says, it’s no time to give up. There is still time to reach the postseason, which remains the number one objective for him and a team going through a tough stretch this month.
