A massive fire and explosion at Smitty's Supply in Roseland triggered a mandatory emergency evacuation of the area.

Students and staff at Roseland Elementary were evacuated Friday following the explosion.

Tangipahoa Parish Schools Superintendent Melissa Stilley provided an update Saturday on the situation at the school, detailing the current actions being taken for teachers and cleanup crews.
