INDIANAPOLIS — Daniel Scott has been through an extensive, exhaustive training camp along with three preseason games.

What a relief!

The 2023 fifth-round pick described it as being “blessed.’’ That came up a couple of times in the locker room at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium after Scott and the Indianapolis Colts dominated the Bengals, 41-14.

Scott’s rookie season ended during a June OTA practice. He tore an anterior cruciate ligament in a knee.

Year two ended in May 2024 with a torn Achilles tendon.

General manager Chris Ballard remained supportive of Scott through his injury issues and was optimistic there was a place in Indy for the aggressive safety.

But those injuries kept getting in the way.
