Welcome to the closing days of Meteorological Summer. Meteorological seasons are split into even quarters per year based on the annual temperature cycle. Summer encompasses June, July and August. We'll be finishing with the season's most comfortable temperatures for August's closing days. Welcome to Fake Fall!

Expect high temperatures across central Indiana Sunday in the mid-to-upper 70s. A mix of sun and clouds will also be part of the story. This will continue our streak (currently at four days) of below-average temperatures. Thanks to a digging jet stream coming straight from Canada, it has some staying power giving many states in the U.S. a break from the heat and humidity.
