TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council (TRAHC) launched the grand opening of its Mayo Arts MakerSpace on Saturday.

The creative hub, located at ArtSpace, is designed to enable artists and students of all ages to create, tinker, and bring their artistic ideas to life.

Executive Director of TRAHC Jennifer Unger said MakerSpace has truly been a labor of love, the community has been supporting it, and this is a space of innovation and creativity.

All media of art will be represented at MakerSpace. The current theme is wingz ‘n thingz, and the theme is expected to change periodically.

TRAHC’s National Teaching Artist and sculptor, Kay Thomas, is the designer of the interactive art activities at MakerSpace.
