SHREVEPORT, La. - Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport is preparing to vote on the future of its current building.
The church has been at its present location at the former South Park mall for 21 years.
Church leaders say the massive building has become to costly to maintain.
"We're giving the church three choices. choice number one is to do nothing. We can stay here and kick the can down the road. Option two would be to demolish some of the building, but that would invoke a lot of costs. Option three is to explore moving and finding another building," said David Dies.
Church leaders say the church isn't going anywhere, but the decision on where the congregation will worship will be decided Sunday.
