WINDSOR, Maine — It’s fair season in Maine! For many, that means heading to Windsor, where one of the state’s oldest fairs just opened for its 137th year.
“It’s just tradition for us,” Windsor Fair President Dan Foster said. “I think that’s what fairs are about: tradition.”
The Windsor Fair is a celebration of Maine’s agricultural roots, offering farmers a space to come together, share their work, and connect with the community.
“We've been at this fair for a long time,” Sarah Perkins, owner of Ledgeway Farm , said while tending to her herd of goats. “It’s part of who we are, part of what we love to do.”
Perkins said events like this help highlight all the work that goes into growing crops and raising their animals through a variety of livestock and crop showcases.
