MAINE, USA — Friday starts dry with some sun, but clouds increase. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s. Showers are likely Friday night into Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon looks dry with some partial sun and temperatures rising to around 60 in southern Maine, closer to 50 far north.

A more sizable system develops Sunday night into Monday. Clouds increase on Sunday and there's a chance for more showers by the evening. It'll be a cooler day with high temps in the upper 40s.

Periods of rain are expected Sunday night into Monday. It may briefly begin as a mix or wet snow in the mountains and far north before changing to rain. A half inch to an inch of rain is possible with locally higher amounts.

Behind this system, it looks chilly for the middle of the week.
