MAINE, USA — Another gorgeous day on tap with ample sunshine, temperatures in the low 80s and comfortable dew points. NW ME does have the chance of a shower today.
The area of high pressure anchored over us will remain firmly in place into the weekend. Saturday looks like a repeat of today. Sunday will be similar in sky condition, mostly sunny, except it'll be getting hot and more humid. Temps inland may hit 90.
The sun and the heat isn't going anywhere any time soon. Temps in the 90s and increasing dew points for most days next week and a heat wave (3 days 90+) is possible, especially for inland areas Monday though Wednesday. The front holds off until Thursday, which may make this the hottest week of the year. (I haven't run the numbers yet, but I'm pretty good at this nerd stuff -Keith
