A brush fire was reported off Echo Creek Ranch Road just before 6 p.m. Saturday, with smoke and flames visible from Interstate 80 at mile marker 169 near Emory.
High easterly winds are reported to be causing 15-30 feet flames with structures a mile away.
According to Summit County spokesperson Derek Siddoway, multiple fire response resources are responding, including North Summit, Park City, Morgan County and Uinta County crews.
An evacuation of Echo Creek Ranches has not been ordered, Siddoway said, but if they decide to evacuate, there will be an Everbridge alert and information on social media.
