Authorities discovered three individuals unresponsive at a residence in the Blue Mountains on Sunday morning. The incident occurred at a home on Myall Avenue in Leura, prompting police to respond to a welfare concern around 7:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, emergency services found two men in their 40s suffering from multiple stab wounds. They were transported to Westmead Hospital, where they are reported to be in serious but stable condition, according to a statement from NSW Police.
In addition to the men, a woman in her 60s was found unconscious at the scene. She was taken to Blue Mountains District Hospital and is currently in critical condition.
A crime scene has been established as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. A neighbor, who chose to remain anonymous, reported hearing sirens in the area starting around 7:30 a.m. and expressed confusion about the situation, stating, "We had no idea what was going on."
Police continue to gather information and have not released further details regarding the incident.
