The Bulldogs strutted onto the field Saturday afternoon at The Wolvarena oozing a mix of swagger and intensity. Teammates repeatedly smacked each other on their helmets during warmups. Westinghouse, aiming for its fourth-straight City League title this season, looked like a team badly itching to play.

After the Bulldogs took down Class 2A’s Steel Valley 22-12, junior running back Dameon Hill confirmed that anticipation wasn’t just for show.

“We knew we were going to come in here and step on their throat regardless of what they tried to put in front of us,” Hill said. “... We’ve been talking about this game since before the offseason. We’ve been talking about this game all year.”
