SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Missouri River Boat Club held its annual Fun Run fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 23.

This is the first year the fun run is dedicated to the memory of long-time boat club member Dennis Butler, who died last year after a battle with cancer.

Participants traveled by boat, bike, car, or motorcycle to several locations around Siouxland, including the Sioux City Marina and the new Missouri River Boat Club clubhouse.

Jim Seivert, the Missouri River Boat Club Fleet Captain, said he hopes this event will encourage the community to spend more time down by the river.
