WAVERLY, Tenn. (WSMV) - Dozens of people gathered in Waverly to mark the four anniversary of the flood.
The 2021 storm brought historic flooding that claimed the live of 20 people. Community members hosted a memorial service to honor the victims.
“It’s a good thing for us to come together and be able to love one another to know that we are still supporting you,” attendee Deanie Brown said.
Words of comfort were shared at a local church and a candle light vigil was held.
