ST. LOUIS - A new business held its grand opening Saturday in north St. Louis.

It's called Willieann's Snack Shop, located on West Florissant Avenue in the city's Walnut Park West neighborhood.

The snack shop offers a variety of items, from breakfast sandwiches and coffee to grab-and-go lunch options. The signature item is their specialty lemonade.

Fushia Hankins, the shop's owner, is dedicating her business in honor of her mother.

"We're opening up Willieann's Snack Shop, which is our mother. She passed away in August 2022. So this is her legacy here. She did catering for 22 years, her and my father. We just wanted her legacy to live on, so we opened this up in honor of her."

Willieann's also has a special program for students. Every 'A' they bring in, they get a special prize.
