Kyle Tucker went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and five RBIs, and Reese McGuire hit a grand slam and also drove in five runs as the Chicago Cubs cruised to a 12-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif.
It was the eighth multi-homer game of Tucker’s career, three of which have come against the Angels, and his first with the Cubs. In all, he has 27 career homers against Los Angeles. Chicago finished with 14 hits and scored 10 or more runs in a game for the 18th time this season.
Rookie Cade Horton (8-4) picked up the win, allowing three hits over six shutout innings. Ben Brown allowed one run on two hits over the final three innings to pick up his first save.
Jo Adell homered and had two hits for Los Angeles. Victor Mederos (0-2) suffered the loss,
