SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Tropical Storm Fernand is about 300 miles southeast of Bermuda with maximum sustained winds near 40 mph. The storm is moving north-northeast at 15 mph with a central pressure of 1010 mb.
No coastal watches or warnings are in effect. Fernand is expected to continue north-northeast before turning northeast, staying well east of Bermuda over the open Atlantic.
Some strengthening is possible over the next two days, followed by weakening starting Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles from the center, mainly to the southeast.
