It was a walk-off in Norfolk! Down 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Livan Soto hit his third home run of the season. Ryan Noda and Jud Fabian scored on the play, and the home team fans were sent home happy. The Tides had just two at-bats with runners in scoring position despite getting seven hits in the game. Their first run came in the fourth inning on a solo homer by José Barrero. Rehabbing Jorge Mateo singled twice.

Carson Ragsdale started and pitched four innings with two runs allowed. Both runs came in the fourth, when Ragsdale gave a double, a walk, and a two run-single. Cody Poteet, Thaddeus Ward, Cameron Foster, and Jose Espada pitched the final five innings without allowing a hit. Foster and Espada finished out the game by striking out the side in both the eighth and ninth
