On Sunday, the Braves once again made multiple roster moves, with the most notable development being lefty Aaron Bummer headed to the IL with shoulder inflammation.

Obviously, shoulder inflammation in the throwing shoulder is never encouraging to see. Time will certainly determine how long Bummer will be out. Bummer has remained pretty healthy over the past several years, as he has totaled over 50 IP in five of the last six full seasons as a reliever. It is a realistic possibility that he could be done for the season, but that may be beneficial if rest can aid in his shoulder returning to 100%

The 2025 season has been up and down for Bummer. He has had stretches of success, but also has had struggles. There has been noticeable regression in both his strikeout and ground ball rates. Bumme
