People in Strelley have called for more robust speeding measures after a car crashed into a family living room. City council chiefs say a number of restrictions are already in place but that they "rely on reasonable behaviour from drivers".

Residents have now suggested more could perhaps be done after the latest collision in the area. A 22-year-old man was arrested after a car left a busy roundabout and crashed into a house in Flamsteed Road in the early hours of Sunday, August 17 .
