Crews responded to a garage fire Saturday shortly after 9 p.m. in the 100 block of East Sixth Street in Media.

No official details were yet available Sunday morning, but the fire radio traffic showed:

En route, crews were notified of possible entrapment, plus the first on the scene reported the garage was “fully involved.”

Police arrived a short time earlier and called for an ambulance for someone with smoke inhalation. The urgency ticked up when one officer reported there were “possibly kids in the house.”

There was also a report that there was a gas tank in the garage that might explode. More police were requested to clear nearby houses and get residents to a safe distance.

Eventually, all of the houses were reportedly cleared of residents.
