COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Global Scholars Diploma program, offered by the Columbus Council on World Affairs, is a three-year high school credential designed to nurture globally competent students through hands-on, experiential learning.
Year 1 – Awareness: Students are introduced to global cultures, issues and careers. They attend face-to-face sessions with experts to build foundational knowledge and broaden global understanding.
Year 2 – Skill Building: The curriculum deepens, combining interactive events with an eCourse. Students practice cross-cultural communication and problem-solving, often in partnership with community organizations like Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS).
Year 3 – Take Action: As their capstone, students select and execute a project addressing a glob
