TWO MOUNTAINS, AB
Two Mountains Bible College sold a record 47 engagement rings by lunch on Student Orientation Day this year.
“And another 38 by mid-afternoon,” said school President Alison Giesbrecht. “It seems the Lord is really working in our student body already this year.”
In order to welcome students to the campus, the school setup food trucks, hired a Christian rock band, and played various ice-breaker games.
“It seems our ice-breaker games worked a little too well,” said Giesbrecht. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”
The school’s new jewelry store has done record-setting business this year, even more than the book store.
“And unlike textbooks, you can’t just use the ring for a while, leave the pages untouched and then try to return for a refund,” said Giesbrecht.
