GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Some veterans from Tabitha at Prairie Commons got to check off their bucket list as they had the opportunity to fly in a Stearman on Saturday.

Dream Flights gave back to those that served by giving them the chance to fly. This was done by letting seven guest take a 15 minute tour of the Grand Island air space, which included a fly over of the Nebraska State Fair.

Gene Gnuse was accompanied by his two son and daughter before leaving them on the ground for his fly along.

“Here you go, your dream comes true, you get a flight in a Stearman.” said Rick Norris, Ground Crew Chief of Dream Flights.
