The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t like life without Derrick Nnadi, apparently.
Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Kansas City is bringing back the defensive tackle via a trade with the New York Jets, with whom Nnadi signed a deal on March 16.
“The #Chiefs are trading with the #Jets to bring back DT Derrick Nnadi, per sources,” Fowler posted on Sunday . “Deal includes a 2027 conditional 6th/7th pick flop.”
Nnadi, 29, was selected by Kansas City with the No. 75 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft out of Florida State. He’s played all seven of his NFL seasons with the Chiefs, appearing in an impressive 17 games in each of the past four seasons.
Nnadi has tallied 109 solo tackles (233 combined), five sacks, two pass deflections and a forced fumble in his career.
